A few things bothering me I’ve not found in sub search:
Religion: Laura Lee (see The Lorelei) and her connection to Lottie. Lottie is what unchecked religious fervor looks like without guiding principals or a “rock” like a bible. Laura Lee would not be okay with any of what has happened in S2.
I don’t see Lottie’s mental illness as defining her. Yes, she has a mental illness and she chose to get baptized almost immediately after her symptoms returned, get over it.
Then Laura Lee was just gone. And Charlotte became a pagan Charlatan.
What I see in Lottie is a fragile person in extraordinary and perilous circumstances getting evangelized and baptized out of desperation, having a sensory experience but then immediately losing her guide, Laura Lee (totally manic plane incident) so she made up the wilderness religion bc she had a spiritual experience with no point of reference, no guide (pastoral) and no proper sequencing of teachings and principles to set her on a defined spiritual path.
This is probably controversial but if we accept, as the writers gave us plenty of evidence for it, that Lottie has a mental illness that was previously controlled by medication, but her meds ran out and her “salvation” was baptism, then we need to consider spiritually confused zealotry as a contributing factor to where S2 ended and that shitty choice Lottie made to hand the burden of leadership to someone else.
And let’s talk about the spiritual mind fuck that sad, confused, unmedicated, baptized but abandoned Lottie has laid on the group, with zero credible spiritual foundation. Symbol or not it’s a bizarre set of seemingly harmless neopagan rituals that most decided to follow religiously but for lack of any other personal or natural motivation to endure and survive that quickly escalated to cannibalism. Like, what the and get the fuck?!?
Then when Lottie is rightly horrified by what she has created, she shamefully bows out and puts the weight and continuity of her insanity (no judgement but it is insanity) onto Natalie.
Lottie in both timelines has a very thin strip of insight and self-identification of her disease. She takes a life-threatening beating without defending herself and shows up to a fireside reunion with a platter of death cocktails. She is not a mentally well person even before the crash. Laura Lee thought she could fly.

The MP3 file format was available, the dot com surge was in full swing and Yahoo ruled the world. Geeks everywhere wanted Mulder and Scully to hook up. Friends: Rachel, Ross, Monica. Joey, Phoebe, Chandler.
The whole edgy-grunge-pixie-girl pre-tech and zero-knowledge vibe was NOT a thing when the plane crashed in 1996.

It is both obvious and shocking to see none of these women in therapy except Lottie. Oh wait no, she’s hallucinating being in therapy, praying to her scary bloodthirsty AQ Jesus. And adult Nat who got called out in group at rehab for not sharing any of her trauma.
I wonder if this show is not so much about the supernatural, which I have seen little evidence of, and more about trauma and stunted psychological growth in the context of religious zealotry, mental illness, shame, absent mothers, denial, and the dawn of the consumer-driven internet revolution which was definitely a “time” delineator.
Yes the trauma theory has been discussed ad nauseam but in context to murkily motivated choices they made. I’m suggesting that religion and time are lenses to consider looking through.
Stop saying these girls are grunge. They aren’t skinny or clever enough. They all just seem lost both pre and post crash. Stop referencing a “wilderness religion” - it is the fever dream of a treatment-deprived sick girl. And please tread a bit more carefully when tossing words like “coded autistic” around while being hyper-vigilant against any reference to mental illness. You can’t have it both ways

Hello, I came from the other sub.
I’ve been into the manifesting world for 2 years now, manifested many small things and two big things ; a new job and a car successfully. But I also manifest my SP (that’s how I got into Neville from the first place).
We’ve got from total zero connections to talking every day. But now he out of nowhere he has a 3p now.
I almost felt like I’ve failed, but I also know accepting the failure is failure. I don’t know what exactly I should do.
I’ve decided to cut him off my life and I’d accept him back only when he’s the version i experience in my 4d. I was able to maintain my state for days. But when this happened I’ve decided to let go and wait for my 3d to conform like I wait for a package online.
That’s also how I’ve manifested my job and my car, but I’ve been persistent about my SP for 2 years straight so I just feel weird doing this now.
I need anyone’s advice please.

When we were in the city, we never saw the stars.
I asked my mother, "When we were in Seattle, we don't ever see no stars. Why?"
My mother stopped and started to think. She followed it with, "My child, the stars are people too. Maybe we if saw them in the city where there are lots of people, we would find their most mysterious secrets. Now, they don't want that just like we have secrets we don't wanna tell."

We didn't speak for the rest of the night. We just shot fireworks. We didn't see the stars that night. We only saw fireworks as the rainbow explosion covered the sky of Heaven over Earth.

I was writing down ideas in my notebook for years. Google Doc upon Google Doc filled with theories and explanations.
Known effects on West Virginia have only been tied to West Virginia.
These known effects are: - Merging of human and wildlife. - Carnivorous herbivores. - Raining specifically on cemeteries. - Bizarre lightning related activities around churches
Nothing too wild compared to the events that are happening right now in Seattle, New York, Los Angeles, and Miami.
Special teams called the Flashbangs are sent out after a bizarre event. These use a special gas to make them forget approximately 10 hours. Some civilian who may be immune are euthanized in secret.
The first of these events happened in West Virginia.
At 6:30 PM, the rain had turn from clear to a red color and had started to rise up back into the air in the form of droplets. The water factory in West Virginia had to stop all water after finding out that a third of the water had turned into sheep blood.
The citizens and people at the factory were visited by the Flashbangs.
I landed in Virginia for the second event that happened. It was unusually snowy, it was reported in the forest. I drove on an ATV, alone into the thick wood. The trip was 7-ish minutes until I came up on a meateating doe was feasting a rabbit. The glowing eyes stared into my head.

I decided to take around and out of the city for a minute. I was watching the sky as I was driving in my car. The stars were not there. It was just light pollution. I started to crack a smile as the stars begin to pop up as I went further and further away from the city.
I started to think, if the stars were trying to warn us, why didn't they tell the public?
I stopped the car when I looked down and saw another fucking doe.
The neck started contorting into a weird shape, new flesh was growing into the throat of the deer. The deer looked like it was going choke on it's own neck.
"Stop looking up."
It spoke calmly. More calmly than the last doe in West Virginia.
Then more of them showed up.

They went away.
I immediately drew a connection to the stars in the sky.
This may be what I can write at the moment. I need to sleep.
My alcohol is getting low and I don't wanna talk about this. I'm going to speak on this, tomorrow.

Alright so before I begin this post. I am well aware many of this sub dislikes or hates me since yes, I was a controversial youtuber before, however, I've ever since been trying to slowly change that and all I ask while you read this is to at least hear me out.

Now to the rant at hand. I will also state immediately that this isn't a hate post but more of a concern I have in general about the series.

Alright so you all heard lately how Colin recently quit SMG4 as one of the writers and everyone was overjoyed and or instantly blamed glitch entirely. I want to state either one is not really valid because the guy can indeed write after I saw the highlights he did. He isn't perfect by any means but he's a lot better than I've expected.
​
As for the part on blaming glitch heads for refusing his ideas, I can't say they are entirely in the wrong. I myself am also a writer part time for other channels and I do scripts for fun. No revenue, literally for fun since I have a bigger passion for writing than for animating to be completely honest since early 2023.
I state this because a lot of youtubers I work with don't use 100% of what I write and hell, some don't even credit me. Although to be fair, I understand since once again I know I was a controversial youtuber back in 2021 and half of 2022 before the original channel was deleted. Just because ideas aren't 100% used doesn't mean glitch is evil for it. They have the right to refuse an idea. That being said though, I will agree some of the decisions not to add said ideas seemed a bit odd.

I would also like to note Medi and Cloud are the goat of Animators and Editors and may sneak in some things that works magically sometimes lol. Actually Cloud is a friend of mine and he's such a chill guy to chat with.

Now here is where the actual rant begins. I am very concerned on where Glitch is taking SMG4 and no, not with the redesign or the Castle going deletus. My concern lies with the characters in general.

Why is it that now Meggy for example on SMG4 is inconsistent on being nice or being mean? I do have a theory that they may be trying to portray Meggy as a Bipolar or borderline personality disorder but still, even then, I feel they don't know which direction to take with her but they use her in many videos as she is SMG4's cash cow and for good reason. I am concerned that it could lead to them killing her off or making her a complete ass which I don't want either to happen. It's quite sad actually that she is meaner with Mario more and more but yet, despite Mario's flaws and his...Manchild behavior, he has saved her ass many times and helped her more than most others ever would. No, I am not suggesting what y'all probably assume....I just freaking miss them being friends in general and actually be a good duo together as friends.

Mario is a whole other issue. My god, the guy has went from a dumb Italian to a full on man child which I also partially blame on how everyone on SMG4 Treats him. The poor guy is abused all the time and Meggy even once said while still somewhat sane that she couldn't imagine living like him every single day and she understands why he acts as he does. Yes, it is funny to see Mario be abused or get his just desserts but....They go waaaaaayyy overboard with it and then make him more and more like a child which gets old super quickly. Today's episode I feel we saw a bit more of Old SMG4 Mario but, that ending today sorta made him go back to a man child.

What the heck happened to SMG3? I mean I don't mind him being what he is for the most part and growing as a person but I also feel he is becoming a Stewie Griffin RIP Off nowadays. Over used Jokes and how SMG3 seems to sometimes struggle on being good and bad. It's like make up your mind what SMG3 is and hell, maybe have a SMG3 VS SMG4 episode again. This one though is not my biggest issue so that, i'll just say it's a agree to disagree situation.

SMG4 himself, I am literally confused what his actual role or stance is these days on the show. One minute he's sane, another he's insane and then another he's borderline evil? I kinda feel like SMG4 is on the same "Bipolar" Episode as Meggy in a way and that also concerns me. All else I need to add is, no hate for him, just confused on his stance.

Why is everyone else like Bowser,, Chris, Swag, Peach, Saiko, Tari, Boopkins and Bob in a lot less episodes? Last time I've checked, aside Boopkins and Peach, everyone else is loved by the community for the most part. Make them appear more.
​
Luigi is the one character I feel is on a similar track than years ago and I honestly have no complaints with how Luigi is portrayed lol.

Alright so why does all of this concerns me? I kinda feel like in a way, the series is heading towards a SML route and or a stale and weird route. I am not sure if they are trying to end the series or if they are trying to go fresh but going about it the wrong way or if it's just bad writing. I am just concerned on the actual direction the show is going. On my community, on SMG4's and others, I often see this as complaints. "I don't watch SMG4 anymore" "The episodes suck since Lawsuit Arc" "Meggy is overused and shouldn't be used anymore" "Mario's a Manchild" "The writers don't know what they're doing".
I just feel like the community is dividing even further and it's honestly super sad. I've wanted to write for SMG4 since 2022 actually but now seeing what happened to Colin and how sometimes questionable decisions are made that I myself don't understand why it was denied. I don't know. Makes me worried if I somehow wrote for glitch plus being controversial, bigger hate would arise for Glitch and I which sucks.

I honestly feel SMG4 just needs to go back to his routes a little bit, look into himself to see what the fans actually want but also see what he want's. Blend it together somehow instead of going extreme on one end or the other and just actually make decisions that can benefit more people instead of denying only because one or two people are uncertain or scared of taking risks. Risks are always something to consider but also know when to do it and when not to do it you know.

Also, I want to point out that I know FM may read this and in case he is, just want to point out that I know you already try to please both sides when you're involved with the writing and as for Medi and Cloud, keep sneaking in juicy scenes lol. I personally love it when either of them do a scene.

James, Kevin and Luke, by all means this is not a hate post and whoever reads this, I don't want everyone to attack one another or glitch or anyone working for glitch or the fans and non fans.

This is simply a rant of my concerns and if anyone from glitch would like to address them to me privately or in the post, feel free and I would be more than happy to listen.
​
I will also warn that if this post does lead to direct drama to me or to glitch, I may take down this post. I just want to see in general if my concerns are founded or unfounded and to possibly help glitch get back fully on the map and making spicy quality content.

Synopsis/Review
Ariel, a young mermaid, makes a deal with a treacherous sea witch to gain human legs and explore the surface world to find a prince she has fallen for.
I try not to go to movies with expectations anymore, especially if I’ve seen trailers. The damn things just spoil most of the plot anyways. Luckily, I didn’t really need to try too hard to avoid trailers here because I already knew the plot. It’s “The Little Mermaid”, my little cousin wore the VHS out on this one, and it has some of the best songs of any 80s/90s Disney movie not called “The Hunchback Of Norte Dame” (which personally I think would rock as a live action rEiMaGiNiNg or whatever they want to call them). And other than some stupid jump-scare abruptly-cut-the-music gimmick they pull in the opening minute or so to try to convince you that this won’t be the same Little Mermaid you’re used to, it’s basically the same plot beats. Ariel is fascinated by the human world, falls for a human, makes a deal with Ursula, and so on and so on. Not that I’m complaining, it would be pretty dumb to mess with a classic too much.
I went in knowing very little about the cast except for Halle Bailey as Ariel. Absolutely zero notes. She rocked all of her musical numbers and her performance as human Ariel was just sweet and charming. Javier Bardem plays a more subdued King Trident than what some folks might be used to, but his presence alone adds a bit of gravity to the character and it certainly gives a good spin on it. He’s less bumbling-controlling-dad-who-doesn’t-understand-Ariel and a bit more conflicted-parent-who-wants-the-best-for-his-daughter-but-ultimately-still-doesn’t-understand-Ariel.
As soon as he recovers from what I can only describe as an ill advised buzzcut, Jonah Hauer-King certainly has the potential to be the next Hollywood pretty boy. His run as Prince Eric carries all the same starry eyed hopeless romantic vibes of his animated counterpart. Daveed Diggs was solid as Sebastian. His accent wasn’t as cartoonish as I was scared it would be, and if you don’t already know, the man can sing quite well. Jacob Tremblay did Flounder justice, but good lord was that character design nightmare fuel to the point of being damn near distracting. It’s not his fault at all, but easily the wonkiest looking character.
This is usually the paragraph I reserve for my favorite performances, and I can’t pick between Awkwafina as Scuttle or Melissa McCarthy as Ursula. Both parts were right on the money. I chuckled or laughed the hardest at their antics and their musical numbers were absolutely crushed, but I’m gonna give the edge to McCarthy simply because “Poor Unfortunate Souls” is a banger.
The musical numbers were a huge highlight for me. Everyone gave it their all and made their character’s signature songs their own, especially Bailey’s “Part of Your World” and McCarthy’s “Poor Unfortunate Souls”. Unfortunately, the visuals are where I was underwhelmed. When the cinematography worked, it was incredible, with beautiful bioluminescent colors and tricks with sunlight and fire. When it didn’t, it felt like the entire screen had a case of uncanny valley. Watching effect driven movies where you know you’re staring at a green screen digital shot can be a drag. The pace of the movie didn’t feel that great either. It’s almost an hour longer than the animated film and you can certainly feel it.
Overall, fans of the original will really like giving this one a go and comparing notes and memories of the original, and this one can stand as a cool, if slightly inferior, companion piece.

i previously deleted my reddit account but i just made a new one solely to post this lol. but i was introspecting earlier and made a lot of big realizations that i feel the urge to share so its not just me in my own head. for context, im 18
around two years ago, i essentially became "blackpilled". i hate to admit it but i was an active 4chan user lol (r9k was the main board i was active on). however, it wasn't the perspective on gendegender roles associated with incelism; it was beyond that and more about humanity as a social species on a global scale. my worldview/philosophy was essentially an extremely negative version of nihilism that rejected the existence of free will. i'll just refer to it as becoming blackpilled because its the best way to sum up my major shift in perspective & way of experiencing "reality". i was also heavily into philosophy at the time. i literally wrote a book like i was deep into this shit bro lol. i wont go into my whole life history but it makes sense that a former "gifted kid" with a high IQ (if that shit even matters) and a history of depression, anxiety, isolation, and being socially outcasted would become a nihilist/essentially blackpilled. at the time i was 16. i was in a period of extreme isolation; i lost all my closest friends in a very short period of time due to circumstances not really within my control, and my mental illnesses prevented me from forming new connections. i suspect i have AVPD or even ASD but i digress. anyways, i came to steadfast conclusions regarding free will, humanity, how the world & society works, and the meaning of life. of course, there was no room for much hope or optimism within these conclusions lol. this sent me into what i can only describe as an extreme and extended period of depression that lasted well over a year.
discovering the "blackpill" (because that's essentially what happened) was the worst possible thing i could have done tbh. i thought that i knew everything. that i had how the world & society works completely figured out. that there was nothing else to discover. but really, i knew nothing. i thought that my stubborn little corner of reality/consciousness was all there was.. i couldn't see outside of myself. i gave myself extreme tunnel vision and essentially lost my ability to think globally. the blackpill drained not only my own life, but all life in general, of all hope and meaning. i thought that i was smarter than the "delusional", optimistic "normies" who weren't aware of "how the world really works". this belief was reinforced by adults around me repeating the sentiment that growing up means realizing the world is a shitty place (because during this period of my life, i was graduating high school and entering the adult/"real" world). but that doesn't have to be true! growing up does not have to be synonymous with losing hope and it frustrates me that young people have this drilled into our heads since childhood. it can simply mean being able to experience the world in an even more rich and beautiful manner. you can get that childlike wonder back, life can have novelty again. it's hard to believe that when you've been depressed for so long, but it can be true.
i did realize a while back that being blackpilled was not conducive to being mentally healthy and functional. it's next to impossible to grow as an individual when you are this blackpilled/nihilistic because you have zero hope. you feel that everything is pointless, so why even bother trying? you may as well not waste your energy or time, right? however i still kept my foot in the water, so to speak, because i'd claim that all philosophies/perspectives on existence and reality are, in a way, partially delusional. to clarify this, i'll quote something i once wrote: "As a result of [humans'] enhanced ability to interpret our sensory perceptions, we are prone to discrepancies in our perceptions of what is real, true, or important, and what is not. This explains why humans are the only known species able to experience psychosis. In essence, there is no “objective reality”. Every individual experiences a different reality their mind constructs." while this is true, i used this belief to continue to remain blackpilled because i felt that changing my perspective would be deluding myself and being falsely optimistic.
now, i've finally been able to not just tell myself, but actually believe that allowing myself to once again see the hope in life is not deluding myself. it's taken me a long time to realize how naïve and close-minded my perspective actually was. i thought that i was embracing reality, but i was actually rejecting it. i was rejecting any beauty and color the world had. i was rejecting hope, optimism, and potential.

26 year old male. I started to have dull pain in my balls back in February so I saw the urogolgist. We did 3 semen analysis tests. Talked to urologist and he said there’s zero sperm in my semen due to Robertsonian translocation between chromosome 13 and 14. 45, XY, der (13;14) (q10;q10). so might have to cut open my balls to retrieve sperm, if there are any in there to freeze for IVF down the road. Given the DNA mutatation, is it still possible to increase my sperm count? If so what could be done to take my sperm count from zero to somewhat test at my next semen analysis? I did 3 semen analysis, the semen volume was 3.0ml while the sperm concentration was <2.0 M/ml this all the other markers were not able to test due to very low low sperm count.
Y chromosome microdeltn - Negative. Klinefelter syndrome. -Negative. Testicular ultrasound - normal. Thyroid ultrasound - normal Brain MRI - normal
FSH and LH have elevated since august 2022 and testosterone levels have significantly declined over 60%. 12/2022 at 640, 8/22 at 544 down to 275 and 350 based on 2 recent bloodwork last month,
The main issue after all the testing is Robertsonian translocation between chromosome 13 and 14. 45, XY, der (13;14) (q10;q10). I wanted to see is anyone else had the same issue and what they did to save their fertility. ThankYou for the help in advance.
Only treatment for primary hypogodaim is TRT, which I’m still by caused it within the last year, thus HCG or SERMs are not recommend given my high FSH and LH levels and fertility issues.
If i were to go down the IVF route, will the kids be born healthy and have no issues down the road as adults?
